How Liverpool could align the day of the opening of the Premier League season against Norwich

The last time Norwich City played at Anfield in the Premier League, it was in September 2015 and Brendan Rodgers was sitting in Liverpool's dugout canoe.

Two weeks later, the Northern Irishman was sacked and the Reds were about to name Jurgen Klopp to replace Rodgers.

This visit to Merseyside will be totally different for the championship winners. The last time, they held a 1-1 draw against Liverpool, with Danny Ings opener overturned by Russell Martin.

The last time Oxlade-Chamberlain took on Liverpool's formidable lineup, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all scored in a 3-0 win against Bournemouth in April 2018.

It is likely that Liverpool will face Norwich with this mighty one in front of three, but there is a man who could steal his name from Klopp's plans.

Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian king will be back thirsty for work after a run of 16 games with no tomorrow for the Africa Cup of Nations with the host country, Egypt.
