Bruno Fernandes is expected to double his salary when he completes his summer transfer to Manchester United.
Reports in Portugal claim that the Red Devils have reached an agreement to sign the free midfielder, but Sporting Lisbon wants to wait after their Super Cup clash with Benfica on Sunday to confirm the contract.
According to A Bola, Fernandes is expected to earn 5 million euros per season at Old Trafford.
That's a good $ 90,000 per week for the striker midfielder, a figure that, it was claimed, is double his current gain.
Although this would mean a significant increase in Fernandes' earnings, 22 he would see him well below Old Trafford's highest incomes.
Alexis Sanchez stays with around £ 350,000 a week, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, David de Gea and Romelu Lukaku totaling more than £ 200,000 a week.
Fernandes' announced salary would earn him a little more than Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof, which would put him in 14th place in the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team's earnings.
Fernandes was in tears at the end of the last match of the Sporting, and we expect him to make his appearance of farewell by leading the team against his rival, Benifca, this week -end.
The midfielder scored 31 goals in 50 caps last season and it is expected that a fee of about 50 to 60 million pounds will be required to enable him to sign United's third summer contract after Aaron Wan -Bissaka and Daniel James.
It is also believed that United will be in talks with Juventus over a major swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.
Lukaku would have already agreed on an agreement leading him to Turin, but that depends on Dybala's willingness to go in the opposite direction.
