How to create a dance scene with someone who has never danced? Very carefully.

The comedy "Booksmart" follows two high school graduates, Molly and Amy (Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever), who spent too much time studying and partying. They correct this in a crazy night before graduation. In this scene, they arrive at a party they are trying to find during much of the movie.

Molly notices Nick (Mason Gooding), her love of school, and the scene turns into a fantastic musical sequence showing Molly's thoughts. In her narration, director Olivia Wilde explains how to inspire clbadic Hollywood musicals, what it took to succeed in this one – shot sequence and how she and her choreographer, Denna Thomsen, got a remarkable job from Gooding, who did not dance before that.
