How to level up Avengers Black Panther to 50 and Gearscore Max

[ad_1]

War for Wakanda is in the wild, the first true expansion for Marvel’s Avengers that adds a new zone and Black Panther to your roster. The good news is that you don’t need to have played other content or done any grinding to pick up Black Panther and use it, as it will start at level 1.

The bad news is that it is only at XP level 50 that its full kit will be made so you can see its true potential. And then you need to hit max gear, 130 (which can be upgraded to 130, plus 10 Artifact Power for 150) to start doing endgame builds for him.

Well, I’m here to tell you how to speed up both, depending on your level of patience for monotony.

For XP, Avengers is currently hosting a Double XP Event. They also have free in-game XP boosters that you may have collected already and these are listed under “consumables”. These add 50% more XP to the double XP event, so add one up front.

After that just play through the War for Wakanda campaign to get some levels. Once you’re done, head back to the XP: Hives mines. Avengers gives out Bulk XP when you complete an “event” section. Yes, you get it by killing enemies, but most of it comes from completing objectives. Hives are made up of 5-6 levels of objectives in a row, so this is the fastest place to level up a full activity.

If you do not want to do a full activity and just want to go as fast as possible, start the Up from the Depths Black Widow mission in Northern Expanse. This mission begins by asking you to kill a single high-value target, which you can burn easily. Immediately after that reload the checkpoint or if you miss it reload the mission. Keep killing this dude and it’s easily the fastest (albeit most boring) XP farm in the game.

But that’s only XP, what about gear and gear score? Going up this is really boring, as there is no point in investing in any equipment until it starts to drop to 130.

Again, a few main things here. You can mine some missions, but this gear may not always be higher than your level. Usually, I just put the hives at +5 above my power and get drops at the end that are guaranteed to increase my slot’s potency, in addition to getting XP at the same time. Remember to drop Zones every now and then so that your minor artifacts don’t fall behind.

But the real key to speeding up gearscore leveling? In-game stores, which reset daily. Yes, it turns out that there is a good reason to have four bases of operations after all. Stores will sell equipment that will usually be the maximum potential wattage for each location you have. So, every rest day, you want to visit both vendors and faction leaders to buy upgrades. Buy one, then back off, and when you return to the store, the power should be increased over the others. Faction leaders also sell high powered artifacts that will save you Drop Zone races. Now the stock is limited so you can only do it once per day for all vendors (the reset is at 1 p.m. ET), but it really, really helps. The new Wakandan vendor is also selling Black Panther specific gear in additional locations daily, so don’t miss it. Between that and normal gameplay, I’m already at gearscore max after two days. Now cultivate a real to build.

Enjoy.
