1. Hang the bow tie flat around your neck with the right side about 2 inches longer than the left.
2. Cross the longest part over the shortest part and bring the longest side behind and across the shortest side by knotting a knot.
3. Fold the short bow-shaped side by pulling it and folding it back on itself, then pinching it against your neck. The center of the bow shape should be between the points of your collar and the center of your neck.
4. Pull the long side over and in front of the shorter end, which is shaped like an arch.
