“Adventure Time: Distant Lands Wizard City” premieres on HBO Max on Thursday, September 2.
The animated series, originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con, is a four-part special with different stories from the Land of Ooo. Fans of the Cartoon Network series “Adventure Time” are familiar with the character design and plot of the upcoming series.
Beloved “Adventure Time” characters Finn and Jake are sent on a series of tasks, leading them to a mysterious evil rival who will challenge the duo. The “Wizard City” spin-off follows previous HBO Max “Adventure Time” specials, “Obsidian” and “Together Again”. This will be the last part of the series.
