The University of Cape Coast in the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings was ranked 4th in Africa, first in the West African sub-region and in Ghana for that matter.
The university’s closest competitor in Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, was ranked 39th in Africa, followed by the University of Ghana.
