Two Osogbo-based herbalists Afolabi Faseun, 39, and Afolabi Fadare, 38, confessed to killing and sharing the body part of one Moses Fasesan after asking them for ritual help to earn money .
Faseun also revealed that the victim’s heart was sold to another herbalist, Adeleke Kabiru for N20,000 for another ritual.
Faseun and Fadare answering questions as they were walked by the State Police Command in Osogbo revealed that the victim was given a substance at the home of a man named Taiwo, now at large, after which he lost consciousness and was shot.
Faseun adds, “Moses was brought to me by a certain Taiye and was looking for a silver ritual, but rather than helping him, we decided to use it for other rituals.
“So we agreed to kill him at Taiwo’s after giving him a concoction that makes him unconscious. We slaughtered him and share his share.
Meanwhile, Fadare revealed that they were using the victim’s head and legs for client stimulation rituals.
“We both agreed to kill him because I believed the devil pushed us to do it, we sold the heart to another herbalist, but the money was handed over to Faseun,” he said.
In addition, Kabiru admitted to buying the victim’s heart for 20,000 naira and used it to lure stroke victims into his traditional healing office.
“I was not part of the murder but I bought the victim’s heart. It was delivered by a professional motorcyclist. I have used the heart to attract clients with heart disease, ”he said.
Speaking to reporters, Police Commissioner Olawale Olokode said the victim’s mother reported the case a month after her disappearance, adding that she initially reported the issue to an herbalist to help her locate her missing son.
He said the suspects would be brought to justice after a proper investigation.
