Actor and director John Krasinski is in western New York, looking for possible venues for the sequel to his blockbuster movie, "A Quiet Place".

One of the places where Krasinski, known as Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom "The Office", and others made a brief visit on Wednesday is the Candy Apple Cafe in Akron. The café has published photos of Krasinski posing with customers on his Facebook page.

"This is a very preliminary screening," said Tim Clark, manager of the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission. "There are a number of other places that they do not want to reveal."

But Krasinski, who wrote, directed and starred in "A Quiet Place" and a team of Paramount Pictures, will be in western New York for a few days, Clark said.

"They are really looking all over western New York," he said. "It's very fast, they are interested in seeing a lot of things."

"At Quiet Place" tells the story of a family, including a deaf child, who lived in a world where most humans and animals were killed by creatures with acute hearing and who Use it to track down their prey. Krasinski played the father and his wife in real life, Emily Blunt, played his wife in the movie.

Krasinski announced the following on his Twitter account with the encrypted message "… it's time to go back".

Clark said that Krasinski's visit was very preliminary and that he hoped that the production company would choose the west of New York to do the following.

"He's so nice that he seems to like the character of this community," Clark said.

Krasinski is no stranger to the west of New York. He filmed scenes for "The Office" in Niagara Falls in 2009, where his character gets married to the Maid of the Mist.
