I am optimistic to win the seat of Madina in 2020 – Sidii Abubakar | Policy

Sidii Abubakar Musah, a former national organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NEC), expressed her confidence in winning the Madina parliamentary seat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by 2020.

According to him, the Madina constituency had always been represented in parliament by the NDC until 2016, when the NPP resorted to a "divisional tactic" to confuse voters in order to win the seat.

"So I am optimistic to win the place on the NDC ticket for 2020, after winning the party primaries in August, Insha Allah," he said.

Sidii told Madina's leader, Alhaji Baba Seidu, during a courtesy visit to his palace yesterday July 17 to solicit his blessing after filing for the NDC primaries contest on August 24, 2019.

"I'm here in your palace to formally submit my nomination forms for the next NDC primary in the constituency. I am confident of winning the primaries and the new Patriotic Party's (NPP) fighting power without understanding anything by the year 2020, "he said.

A unifying

Sidii said the constituency needed a rally leader who could convince everyone to campaign and convince everyone to vote for the NDC.

For his part, the chief congratulated him for his interest in leading Madina, urging him to campaign on issues devoid of insults as it is an internal competition.

Sheikh Abdallah, the chief imam of Madina, prayed for him and his team to protect and guide Allah in the cause of the campaign.
