Women who experienced chronic pain and extreme fatigue after bad surgery told the Victoria Derbyshire program that they were not warned of possible side effects.
The Breast Implant Disease (BII) has no official diagnosis, but some women who think they are suffering from it declare to have become healthy again after the removal of their implants.
The Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) does not currently recognize bad implant disease, but surgeons, including the British Association of Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgeons (BAAPS), are now asking for more research.
Naomi Macarthur says that the symptoms that had been affecting her life for four years began to disappear a few days after the removal of her implants.
