Lydia Alhbadan, a newly-sworn deputy for Ayawaso West Wuogon, refuted reports that she would not have donated money to Ishau Yaro, a victim of the January 31 attack.

The family members of the victim publicly denied that the new MP actually donated the money for the maintenance of their beloved, thus praising the NDC for paying all his medical bills.

However, a receipt of evidence copied to Ghanaweb shows that the Member paid GHC5000 to the Military Hospital 37 on behalf of Mr. Yaro.

The receipt was dated February 6, 2019.

According to reported information, doctors claim that the victim is about to lose one of his legs.

In addition to the presentation of the money, Mrs. Alhbadan promised to badume the patient's entire responsibility until his complete recovery.

"I made a cash deposit to cover his medical expenses and his maintenance, and I also badured him of any additional support he might need to restore good health," wrote his message.

Her message on Facebook also indicated that she was accompanied by representatives of the NPP, including Sammy Awuku, Hon Pius Hadidze and Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey, witnesses of the donation.
