The singer Wendy Shay apologized for publishing a photo with former president Kufour who made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In a post on Instagram, the movie maker "Uber driver" apologized unreservedly to the former president for publishing a photo that made him ridiculous.

"I did not intend to harm his reputation image," explained the singer.

Wendy Shay, along with other celebrities, paid a courtesy call on the former president as ambbadador for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

However, she received negative feedback on her outfit after the photo went viral.

At the same time, Sammy Awuku, the national organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed dissatisfaction with the attention given by the photo to the AEA.

He instructed the Authority's management to ensure that the ambbadadors remain true to professionalism during courtesy calls.

"Those who wish to cooperate must be supported and welcomed and those who do not want to comply with these standards MUST receive the release," he added.

Following this incident, the YEA was also criticized for choosing Wendy Shay as an ambbadador, especially after knowing how she dresses.

However, Justin Kodua Frimpong, CEO of the Authority, believes that the purpose of his training is to involve many young people in the program and not discriminate against those who love the singer.

"The important thing is to make sure that many young people who are well known are committed to the program and involve a lot of people," he said.

Mr. Frimpong added that the YEA accepts Wendy Shay's apology in good faith.

"We are all young and, as we learn, we will make some mistakes," he added.
