He added that his love for the environment drove him to study biogas engineering, adding that it would allow him to use his expertise to educate citizens about the dangers of plastic waste.
Since Yelevielbayire started its project, community members have collected plastic waste from communities and cities at the reactor site.
"This plastic waste is then introduced into the reactor. The pyrolysis process takes place and fuel is produced. This process does not take too much time. The larger the reactor capacity, the more plastic waste will be important, "Justin added.
This project, he explained, has been self-financing since the first day until last year, when the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) heard about him and his project. , noticing how good he is and decided to help with the modernization of the reactor.
He also revealed that more than 150 people had been employed in the plastic waste sector of the municipality.
"Those who collect the plastic waste bring the waste to the project site. The waste is then weighed and the collectors are reimbursed. It also improves sanitation in the municipality, "Justin concluded.
