Sensational actress Yvonne Nelson said that the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), did not care about her.
According to her, the party does not even recognize its existence although she ventured into her career to organize a vigil of protest against the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The award-winning actress has never hesitated to speak and is one of the most virulent celebrities on national issues.
In 2015, she led a vigil to protest against the NDC government, while citizens knew of an irregular power supply, known locally as the "dunsor".

But speaking on Yvonne Okoro's "Dining With Cooks and Braggarts" show, Yvonne Nelson denied being a member of the NPP.
She added that despite her "dumsor" vigil, the party turned out not to be interested in it, adding that she was not even paid by the time she led the vigil.
"I think they do not even care about me" she says.
"I have risked my life and my career. Nobody paid me [because] you can not even give a value to what I've done " the actress added.
It will be remembered that last year, Yvonne Nelson spoke to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with the performance of President Akufo-Addo and the ruling NPP.
The actress said things were not going well under the current government, insisting that she looked bad.
"Things are difficult in this country !!!! It's so bad !!!!!! She posted.
