A mother relived the moment she sat down on her daughter's bed and prepared to commit suicide because she thought she was "fat and useless."
Jennifer Malik, 29, said she was about to swallow a handful of pills when her three-year-old daughter laughed in her sleep and saved her life.
Blackpool's mother – who had been bullied by her weight all her life – had exploded after having Naomi and was depressed because she was too incapable of playing with her daughter in the park.
But she told the Mirror, "But before I could stuff the tablets into my mouth, Naomi went back and laughed in her sleep, and that little movement shot me out of my darkness.
"How could I do this to her, how could I leave her without mom?" I thought then that I was sitting and crying on his bed. And that night, I knew things had to change.
Jennifer has had weight problems since her childhood and was so bullied at elementary school that no one wanted to be her friend, in case they would also throw themselves on the line of sight.
She was kicked, objects were thrown at her, and students were raised in clbad to tell her how big she was.
As she got older, she became more obese and strangers mistreated her in the street.
The evenings, we called her a "stranded whale" and she stopped going out to avoid taunts.
She said, "I found comfort by eating.
"I found myself stuck in this vicious circle where I was eating when I was depressed, I could not exercise because I was too scared to leave the house and I was getting older. in addition heavy. I was addicted to food.
Jennifer had four or five meals a week, including pizzas, hamburgers and kebabs, as well as noodles and pies.
She said: "Every year, I swore to change. I transformed my life, stopped eating garbage and exercised. I would prove to all those people who had been horrible with me that they were wrong. That I was not big. "
But on January 20, 2016, Jennifer kissed her husband, taxi driver Billy, while he was leaving for work and had sworn to commit suicide.
She said, "I could not cope with such a failure.
"I was so mad at myself. Why can not I stick to my resolutions? I felt useless. I was failing my daughter, my husband and myself. I was not good for anyone.
She was sitting on Naomi's bed, holding the tablets in her hand, knowing that Billy would be home after work before waking up.
"Even though I was in a dark place and I did not think well, I was always aware of her and I wanted to keep her safe.
"But when she moved in her sleep, she brought me out of this place. She laughed in her sleep and she looked so sweet. "
Conscious that she could not leave Naomi without her mother, Jennifer sat until her husband came home at 2 am and saw the pills.
She broke down and told her that she had almost lost her life because she thought that they would be better without her.
Billy was devastated by telling his wife, "How can you think we'd be better without you ?! We love you, and we need you."
The couple spoke for hours and the next day, after touching the bottom, Jennifer promised to change her life.
She emptied the cupboards and the refrigerator, throwing away all the junk food, feeling "positive and optimistic," claiming that this time she could move the weight.
Then the couple went to the stores and stocked up on healthy foods, fresh vegetables and chicken.
Then she used the Internet to learn how to cook healthy meals, exchanging takeaway for chicken stir-fries, Mexican salads with lettuce, chicken and spicy sauces.
She started losing 7 to 8 pounds a week and quickly started exercising.
"I started walking every night after dinner," she said. "The first night, I saw people walking towards me on the sidewalk. Usually, I crossed the road to avoid hearing unpleasant comments but I did not have the time. I was scared and I bowed my head to avoid their gaze. But they just smiled and said, "Good evening."
"It was a turning point. If they had said something naughty, I might have gone home and would not be out for exercise.
She admits that walking was difficult at first, but the more exercise she had, the easier it became.
She then started dancing the fitness workouts found on Youtube in my living room. – with Naomi join.
Surprisingly, she lost 15 stones in 16 months.
Unfortunately, the quick loss left her with an excess of skin hanging from her belly that she tied with shapewear during exercise, causing her pain.
Billy suggested surgery, although they were afraid of not being able to afford it, so they made an appointment and the next month we took out a loan of £ 10,000 and underwent surgery.
During a seven-hour operation, surgeons opened Jennifer, who was standing under the chest, to my pelvis and from one hip to the other.
His abdominal muscles were so far apart that they had to stick together and his belly button moved to the center.
And since my navel was in the wrong place, I had to get it through the new skin. It was a seven-hour operation.
Although she was nervous before, Jennifer said that the operation was worth it and that she changed her life, giving her new confidence.
Now a personal trainer and helping others follow in her footsteps, Jennifer says her husband is her "rock".
Her father also helped purchase Brunswick Gym in Blackpool, where she now trains.
She said, "I used to see other moms in the park and watch them run after their kids and play with them. I would be sorry if I was not good enough mom for Naomi because I could not even climb the stairs to the house to have her dressed without difficulty.
"And I was really scared that as she got older, she would be teased to have fat mother. I had been brutally bullied because of my weight and I did not want her to be also bullied.
"My weight loss has made such a difference in his life. Now, when we are in the park, I can push her on the swings and run with her. I can even go down the slide with her. I would never have adapted it before.
She added, "When Naomi sees old pictures of me now, she says," Look! Mom shrunk!
