Since his death, social media have been inundated with criticism of people saying that Lumba's reluctance to advise the deceased and his lawsuit against Anokye Supremo for using the intellectual property of his name for financial gain have contributed to his poor health. .
However, Frank Agyekum, a former director of Daddy Lumba, dismissed the charges. Speaking on Onua FM on Friday, February 1, Agyekum said that he knew Supremo very well and that there was no reason to tie his death to Papa Lumba.
He pointed out that Anokye was clearly dead from a tumor and that the public had to do research on this disease to understand what had happened to him, instead of launching innuendo.
Isaac Kwabena Zakaria, director of Anokye Supremo, also asked that people do not falsely accuse Lumba.
Speaking at Peace FM's Entertainment Review on Thursday, Jan. 31, he told Indian animator Akwasi Aboagye that Anokye Supremo had warned that no one should be held responsible for his death did not survive the surgery.
