Pontus Jansson firmly believes that he has evolved a lot under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United's last term and wishes to pbad on the knowledge to his younger teammates in Brentford this term.

The Swedish international has decided to move west of London with Brentford earlier this month, while Leeds has chosen to sell it for around £ 5.5m.

After his time at Griffin Park, Jansson is well aware of his duties in the first Brentford team led by Thomas Frank.

The defender has the feeling of playing a new role with the Bees through his experience and knows that he has to help the youngest club players on and off the pitch.

"I'm one of the most experienced players [in the squad at Brentford]"Jansson said at a press conference.

"It's a bit of a new role for me to come here, help the younger players, manage them on the field, off the field and show how you should be as a team player and a person."

Jansson firmly believes that he has evolved a lot under Bielsa's leadership at Elland Road last season and wants to help his younger teammates in Brentford by pbading on his knowledge.

"Last year with Bielsa and Leeds, I think I've developed a lot about how you should behave and these things", He continued.

"There may still be rumors about me in Leeds, but it's easy to do a little thing in a big way.

"I have evolved a lot last year, so if you ask my teammates and the players who surround me at the training, I think they would say the same thing.

"Just take that now and show the youngest players how to be in the gym, work hard and on the pitch to be professional and take care of your body to prepare for the games."

Jansson, who has played 117 games with Leeds, has partnered with Brentford for an initial three-year contract.
