He said that he would succeed by building a strong private sector and integrating agriculture and industry to create tens of thousands of jobs for millions of unemployed youths.
"The first revolution in this country was a political revolution: if I became president in 2021, the country would witness another revolution, but this time it will be an economic revolution to create jobs for our unemployed men and women", Goosie Tanoh told voters. a meeting.
He added that for the country to develop, it was necessary to build the private sector from scratch. Therefore, if he had the opportunity to lead the party then the country, he would ensure that the private sector is equipped to prosper.
"If I have the opportunity, I would make sure to build the private sector from scratch, because that is the only way to solve most of the problems we face as a country," he said. he declared.
"When you talk about the private sector, the salesperson in Ho, Agbogbloshie in Accra, the Market Circle in Takoradi, the Kejetia in Kumasi, the spare parts dealer in Abossey-Okai are all part of the private sector and I have the intend to work with any of them to change the face of the economy of this country ".
Mr. Tanoh said Thursday to King Freeman, host of the Volta Star's breakfast show, as part of an interview given at the last tour of the campaign in the Volta region.
He said that he would not support the politics of family and friends because it was a major cause of underdevelopment in the country.
Tanoh called on NDC supporters to defend the party's values in order to win the 2020 elections.
He said the values of social justice, responsibility and probity were gradually disappearing from the party, adding that it was a major cause of the NDC's defeat in the 2016 elections.
"The NDC was not attractive in the 2016 elections because we did not stick to our values as a party, so if we do not respect our values in the next election, we risk losing out. ", did he declare.
The aspiring flag bearer campaigned against the vote buying, claiming that "your vote is a sacred act that can not be traded for anything".
He stressed the need for delegates to avoid any form of incentive to vote for a particular candidate at the next NDC presidential primary.
He said the future of delegates and their dependents would be severely affected if they allowed selfish politicians to buy their conscience, stating, "Do not be intimidated by the threats of anyone and do not swap your votes against material things and money, in your hands ".
Mr. Tanoh said that he would give power to the grbadroots if he was given the chance to lead the party as a standard bearer, adding that "the real power will return to the base if I am chosen".
He said the party needed to chart a new path under Goosie Tanoh to restore hope to its members and create jobs for Ghana's unemployed youth.
