President Akufo-Addo
President Nana Akufo-Addo said that he would keep all the promises he made to Ghanaians to shame his critics.
President Akufo-Addo noted that since he had taken over the country's administration, his government had launched many social intervention programs aimed at reducing the unemployment rate in the country.
The president was speaking to Duayaw Nkwanta in Tano North Township, Ahafo, as part of his four-day tour of the Bono East and Ahafo areas.
He added that the initial support needed for the new region of Ahafo had been provided and that the infrastructure would be spread throughout the region.
Nana Akufo-Addo noted that when creating new regions, opponents accused him of misleading Ghanaians to get votes.
He said his opponents were unable to do what they were supposed to do when they were in power and therefore doubted that the NPP government would be able to fulfill its promises.
"When you create the regions, you all know that my opponents have said that I was only luring Ghanaians to get votes. Have not we created the regions? We said Young in afforestation and planting for food and employment, we did them. Whatever I promised them, they said I could not do it. I always have a headache when I hear people say that. I will fulfill my promises one by one to shame my critics, "said Nana Akufo-Addo.
He said that much has been done in the field of planting for food and employment and other initiatives.
"Three hundred people were employed under NABCO in the district of Tano North, under Plantation for Food and Employment, Youth in Afforestation, Pollination, 2,500 young people were employed. We are doing this to show Ghanaians that they have not wasted their votes on us, "added the president.
