Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus)
The controversial hiplife singer, A Plus, said he had resolved to no longer publicly criticize President Akufo-Addo.
However, he said that he would continue to speak out against the policies and programs of the Akufo-Addo government which, in his opinion, are not conducive to Ghanaians.
Speaking in front of KOD and Cookie Tee on Friday on Starr Drive, the outspoken musician urged Ghanaians to hold elected officials accountable.
"I decided to no longer publicly criticize President Akufo-Addo. But when it comes to policies that I do not agree with his government, I will talk about it because that is why we voted for a change.
"I have a personal relationship with the president different from politics. Politics is one thing and my relationship with it is another, so you have to appreciate the difference. Nana is a wonderful human being, he is really a kind person, "he said.
One more also denounced the government's decision to build a national cathedral, noting that building a church is not a priority for Ghanaians.
"Right now we are going to build a cathedral and I do not agree with it. We have infrastructure problems to fix, our people want water and wells need to be built, but we are talking about the cathedral. I even disagree with the claims that the state will not fund the cathedral. Why did not the nuclear power plant build it when it was in opposition? They are doing it now because they are in power, it is the state money that will be used. "
