The Ghanaian rapper-turned-evangelist, Lord Kenya, revealed that he was always ready to perform at the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) when he was invited.
According to him, he is willing to occur at the event if an invitation is simply addressed to him.
He said that performing at the VGMAs would give him the chance to win more souls for God.
"I am still a musician but where I am, I do what God has commanded me. People doubted me when I turned to do the work of God. What I can tell them is that my past was not me … it was a mistaken identity. If I make music again, I need the Holy Spirit to keep me informed.
"If Charterhouse wants me to play on stage to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, let's talk about it, but it will be a surprise. At the end of the day, you will hear JESUS IS LORD, "revealed Lord Kenya in an interview with Hitz FM.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has been in existence for two decades and is Ghana's most prestigious event, rewarding artists for their hard work.
A series of programs have been aligned as part of the 20th anniversary of the awards, including the long awaited Artist of the Decade Award.
Lord Kenya has won four VGMA awards, including the prestigious Song of the Year Award, which all Ghanaian musicians cherish. He also won the year 's artist, the Hiplife year song, as well as the Hiplife year album.
Born Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo, the veteran rapper is now an evangelist.
