Felix Akwetey Nii Okle, 51, a businessman and parliamentary aspirant to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency, has pledged to work hard to seize the headquarters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He called on members of the party base in the constituency to unite and bury their differences and work harder to buy the NDC headquarters.
Mr. Okle launched the appeal when he applied to the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro party constituency office to challenge the party's next primary and the first of seven aspiring parliamentary candidates in the constituency. have applied.
Addressing party members amid drums and dancers after presenting his candidacy, Mr. Okle said that poverty reduction, education, women's empowerment and creation jobs for unemployed young people in the constituency were his top priorities for attending the parliamentary seat of Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro.
"As a businessman, I started my own way of creating jobs for our youth and providing educational opportunities to the disadvantaged in the riding. I currently employ five people and have tied others to get jobs, offered scholarships to 20 students in the riding to pursue high school, "he said.
Mr. Okle promised to provide youth in the constituency with start-up capital for their businesses and to help secure subsidized loans to traders also when he would be elected a parliamentarian, and to ensure the creation of 39 public schools in some of the communities in the constituency. .
"I will lobby for markets to be built in all communities in the riding to prevent traders from traveling long distances, to ensure women's empowerment and to train them in good management practices. business to help them boost their businesses.
