LA GALAXY star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was blamed by Nedum Onuoha of Real Salt Lake for threatening them in their terrible MLS clash last night – even though the Swede apologized in the locker room.
The striker grabbed Manchester City around his face with his arm during the match, which prompted the defender to put himself in his shoes.
Ibrahimovic was warned for this fault. Onuoha then claimed that the 37-year-old had threatened him until the end of the game.
The former Manchester United man then rubbed the knife into Onuoha's injuries after scoring the winning goal, before running to the central defender to celebrate his face.
Clearly feeling that his behavior was unacceptable, he apologized to the former QPR captain, but the player had none.
After the match, Onuoha, 32, said: "He came to apologize after the match because from 60 minutes he says he's going to make me, he's going to hurt me for this game.
"He's a guy who's the face of MLS, as he calls himself, and he plays that way on the pitch.
"If someone comes in and tells me that, I will not accept his apology." It's unacceptable. "
Ibrahimovic – who has scored eight goals in seven games this season – did not seem too embarrbaded by his actions during his post-match interview.
He said: "I like to feel alive, I love it when it becomes duels and that because sometimes, not that I get drowsy, but I do not feel alive." they do not activate me.
"They have to activate me, otherwise it gets too easy, I know myself, and when I'm angry, I feel good."
Commenting on the incident, a fan tweeted: "Zlatan has managed his career throughout his career. It's refreshing to see someone like Onuoha taking up the defense of himself and his Bravo. "
Another said: "Zlatan must accept the fact that he is down, he must be punished for it, he is a great personality, but he goes beyond the mark from time to time."
