Everton left Idrissa Gueye to face Huddersfield on Tuesday while waiting for a new bid from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Senegalese international had to make his debut in the Toffees Premier League win against the Terriers but was not retained and should now leave the club before closing the window on Thursday night.
Gueye has asked to leave Everton for PSG since December, when the champions of France began to be interested in him.

Idrissa Gueye asked to leave Everton this month because of the interest shown by Paris Saint-Germain
Everton on Monday rejected PSG 's candidacy for the Senegalese international and told the French champions that their key midfielder is not for sale.
Gueye told the club that he wanted to join PSG, but also sparked the interest of Manchester City and Arsenal.
He is eager to move to Paris, but Everton wants at least £ 35m before considering selling the defensive midfielder. The Merseyside club values it at around £ 40m.
Marco Silva said that Gueye was suffering from a problem in the groin and remained shy in the face of any new offer made for the midfielder.
Paris Saint Germain has completed Tuesday the signing of Leandro Paredes for £ 35 million
Everton's boss said after his team's 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Tuesday: "He had a minor problem in the groin. But after the match, I had to know if something new had happened, but there was nothing new.
"I am not aware of the transfer request or not. Nobody told me anything. About the new offer? Nothing has happened in our club.
Asked specifically about reports of a second offer filed tonight – and if Gueye submitted a transfer request – Silva replied: "I am not aware of a transfer request or not because that, as you know, we were in the hotel since night.
"For our players, I want their concentration, even though we know that the market is open until the 31st. It's still very difficult for us.
About the new offer of 30 million pounds? Nothing new has happened in our club. There is nothing new in this situation.
