IGP help resigns to compete for NDC | Policy

The Executive Secretary of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Superintendent (Rtd) Peter Lanchene Tuubo, has resigned from the Ghana Police Service to allow him to run as a parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of opposition in Wa West constituency. Upper West Region.

The police officer who speaks loudly has opted for a voluntary retirement to allow his ambition to become a legislator. With this, Tuubo will challenge outgoing MP Joseph Yiele Chireh, a former minister of local government.

Mr. Tuubo is one of 45 other candidates who have selected nomination forms for the 24th August 2019 competition at the Parliamentary Elections in the eleven constituencies of the Upper West Region.

Peter Lanchene Tuubo will be remembered for his famous presentation on police corruption and public perception of the staff of this service, which has become viral on various social media platforms.
