The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, rebadigned 122 police officers during the last restructuring of the Ghana Police Service. Reallocations, according to two separate lists dated February 6 and 7, 2019, took effect immediately.

They are mainly senior officers of the service.

Headquarter

About 10 officers from the National Police Headquarters in Accra have been transferred to other parts of the country.

For example, the Public Relations Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), DSP Olivia Turkson, was reportedly transferred to the Tema Navy, Ports and Railways Unit.

The ASP Patrick Kodjoe Okai, formerly at National Headquarters, is now the staff officer at Brong Ahafo Regional Headquarters.

Once again, DSP Henry N. Agyemang is now the Commanding Officer in charge of the MTTU Divisional Office in Kibi, Eastern Region.

This is the first major reallocation of PGI this year.

In 2018, he made several changes.
