Former Asante Kotoko defender Augustine Sefah has denied reports that he was installed as a fetish priest.

A photo that emerged on Thursday morning showed the right-back had given up football to become a priest.

However, Ashgold’s former right-back denied such a claim.

“The photo circulating is not me,” he told Kumasi. Pure FM.

“He’s a player that I played together during my time with Kessben FC and Medeama SC who posted him on Facebook as a joke saying that the fetish priest is bringing me together.

“I will never be a fetish priest.
The photo in question showed a man dressed in white cloth with a necklace of leaves.

According to Sefah, due to a strong resemblance to the “ priest, ” he had to zoom in on the photo to be sure it wasn’t him.

“Even myself, the very first time I saw the photo, I was thinking about where I could have gone to do such a thing, but when I zoomed in on the image before realizing that it was was not me.

The right-back is currently without a club after leaving Kotoko. His contract with the club expired ahead of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian Premier League season.
