Sammy Gyamfi, national communications officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), dismissed reports that he lacks credibility when he claims that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is in the process of being Collapse under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
"I've seen NPP social media commentators call me a liar. Calling someone from lair does not mean that I am a liar, "he told the MyNewsGh.com show on the morning show of Nhyira FM, based in Kumasi.
According to the head of national communications, people with opposing views on the claim that NHIS is about to collapse should provide facts and figures to counter what he has published and do not just try to attack his person.
"If you want to contradict me, bring your facts and figures and the Ghanaians will judge for themselves," Sammy Gyamfi told the host of the political program Kro Yimu Nsem, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.
Mr. Sammy Gyamfi last week accused the government of illegally transferring more than 17 million GHc from the National Health Insurance Fund's funds to a private fund management company, All Time Capital Investment.

In the third edition of the Moment of Truth series organized by the NDC, Gyamfi attributed the current financial difficulties of the project to embezzlement and other alleged fraudulent activities.
