Mahamudu Bawumia notably attributed the recent depreciation of Ghana's cedi, one of the main challenges of the country's economy, to the guidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

But, reacting to the issues raised, Alhaji Sorogho said the Vice President lied and was not surprised that Ghanaians labeled him "king of lies".
