Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), the national organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Party, apologized to the listeners of Asempa FM, based in Accra, and to Ghanaians in general, for an altercation that took place. Is produced between him and the National Communications Officer. National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition party, Friday, February 1, 2019.
A video went viral on social media and captured Nana B pushing Mr. Gyamfi's head at a busy time on Ekosii Sen's political talk show on Asempa FM.
Below, Nana B's full apology statement:
APOLOGY TO LISTENERS AND GHANAIANS OF ASEMPA FM
I am referring to the events that took place yesterday at Asempa FM 's political talk show, "Ekosii Sen".
Regardless of the repulsive and provocative behavior of the NDC National Director of Communications during the broadcast, which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I apologize calmly for excusing myself from Asempa FM listeners and Ghanaians for the way I responded.
I want to badure everyone that I remain committed to a decent speech based on questions on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not happen again.
I will also encourage my younger brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to show great respect and respect in his public statements on such commitments and to respect the high office of the President at all times.
Thank you.

Meanwhile, the NDC's youth wing has issued the police with a 24-hour ultimatum to arrest Nana B or face her anger.
George Opare Addo, CND's national youth organizer, said at a press conference Friday night: "We demand the immediate arrest of violent gangster Henry Nana Boakye within 24 hours. If, on Monday at the latest, the arrest has not taken place, we will consider this an abdication of the responsibility of the police administration.
"We will have no choice but to mobilize our members to seek justice for our comrade," Opare Addo said.
Below is the full statement of the NDC youth wing:
PRESS STATEMENT OF THE WING YOUTH OF THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONGRESS
We thank you all for honoring our invitation at this untimely hour, even at the last minute. It has become necessary for us to call this press conference because of the many acts of violence against our members, the recent being the unsolicited and unprovoked attack of a NDC national leader, Sammy. Gyamfi.
Earlier in the day, our comrade, Sammy Gyamfi, was the guest on Asuempa FM 's political broadcast, Ekosii Sen, late in the afternoon. He participated in the show with representatives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Henry Nana Boakye, the national organizer of the NPP for Youth, was astonished at our utmost dismay and prolonged the badailant and violence that gangsters demonstrated yesterday in front of our National Communications Officer.
We unequivocally condemn the badault on a person, no more than a national leader of our party. It should be noted that this same hooligan of a youth organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, yesterday ordered the bandits badociated with the NPP to attack our National Deputy Organizer of Youth, Eric Edem Agbana.
The NPP has once again demonstrated that the "All die, let's die" mantra proposed by their president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has become their political philosophy. In reality, this is not an isolated case of blatant violence displayed by the NPP under the Akufo-Addo-led government. Time and again, we have witnessed the extreme show of brute force on the part of this government and its deputies. The nuclear plant managed to keep the entire nation ransom.
It has become clear that Nana Akufo-Addo and her group of appointees who are not subject to light sanctions can not trust the security of the ordinary Ghanaian. The president is responsible for the acts of lawlessness that we have witnessed since the government came to power. He orchestrated and supervised the activities of self-defense groups. Obviously, by this performance, Nana Akufo-Addo is the worst ruler of the nation. The despotic regime has sown fear and panic in the backs of citizens.
The NDC is not a violent party, but our patience is limited. Our members and national officers can not be subjected to such abuses. The youth wing of the party broadcasts the following opinions
• We demand the immediate arrest of violent thug Henry Nana Boakye within 24 hours. If, on Monday at the latest, the arrest has not taken place, we will consider this an abdication of the responsibility of the police administration. We will have no choice but to mobilize our members to seek justice for our comrade.
• We are asking Multimedia to put Henry Nana Boakye, who does not meet the standards, at the bottom of the list, and to forbid him to appear on one of their platforms. If we do not answer our call, no representative of the NDC will be on the same platform with a thug, because we can not guarantee the safety of our representative.
We are reliably informed that our comrade, Sammy Gyamfi, has since filed a formal complaint with the Greater Accra Regional CID Unit.
While urging the NDC youth to remain calm, we urge them to prepare for the fight in multiple ways if the police refuse to arrest Henry Nana Boakye within 24 hours.
