After nearly three months of sitting, the Supreme Court of Ghana delivered today, March 4, its final verdict on the 2020 election petition hearing.
With 5 days of preliminary hearings and 12 sittings, today’s fiscal year was the 18th and 63 days since the petition was filed on December 30, 2020.
NDC 2020 presidential candidate former President John Dramani Mahama dragged the Election Commission and President Akufo-Addo to court, challenging the validity of the December 7 election results.
He urged the court to quash the statement and start a new race between himself and President Akufo-Addo.
Currently, all lawyers for the parties to the case have filed their closing speeches.
