Ghana will host for the first time the 13th edition of the African Games in 2023.

As part of the measures to ensure the success of the organization and organization of the Games of 2023, the co-hosting cities of Accra, Cape Coast, Kumasi and Tamale, co organizers, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Hon. The project team will be chaired by Deputy Minister Curtis Perry Okudzeto.

The members of the project team are the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Housing, the Hon. Barbara Asher Ayisi (MP), Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi, and the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ghan Ben Nunoo-Mensah.

The others are the technical advisor of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, the sports affairs advisor, Mr. Magnus Rex Danquah, and the NSA board member, Mrs. Beatrice Dwumfour Williams. The Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah (MP) also inaugurated a committee to review all sports policies in force in the country.

The committee is also expected to organize a forum bringing together all relevant stakeholders to discuss and gather ideas on how to improve the best sports activities among several other factors.
