The members of the CTVET board of directors have taken the oath as well as the oath of secrecy.
Education Minister Dr Yaw Adutwum, who inaugurated the Council at a short event at the Ministry of Education on Thursday, September 23, 2021, instructed members to bring their expertise to make the technical, vocational education and training Ghana better than before.
According to him, there are already a number of policies that, if implemented, would help transform technical and vocational education and training by creating job opportunities for teeming unemployed youth.
He told the Council that the time had come to implement these policies, noting that no apologies would be tolerated.
“We have a number of policies in place so there is no need to go and write new policies. What is needed now is implementation. So I expect the Conseil is taking action and implementing these policies to make technical, vocational and better training education in Ghana, ”he noted.
Dr Adutwum further stated that there will be reform in technical and vocational schools which will help to improve the technical and vocational knowledge of students.
In view of this, he said there will be three days of fieldwork and two days of classroom work during the academic week.
This, he added, should create an efficient working system to track student records necessary for positive results.
