Former President John Dramani Mahama
Former President John Dramani Mahama is confident in his hope to believe that in 2020, the victory will smile at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), which will put an end to the concerns of Ghanaians.
The NDC flag bearer, as part of his thank-you-to-be in the Central Region last week, said the Ghanaians are willing to bring the NDC back to power because they were disappointed by the new Patriotic Party (NPP) at power.
With a huge crowd in places that he visited to interact with drivers, shopkeepers and others, they complained bitterly of being deceived by the NPP and now regret their actions for a little over two years .
But Mr. Mahama replied that he was very happy that the Ghanaians carried water and alcohol and distinguished between the two, which is heavier. They firmly believe that the NDC will return in 2020.
"Inshallah NDC will gain power in 2020". He said to the cheers of the crowd gathered
Some locals have placed stones in front of Mahama and begged him to forgive them for not voting for power.
He then ended his tour in Awutu Senya where he called for the unity of his party members after the disunity that resulted in the loss of party seats to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The former president expressed his disappointment at the fact that Awutu Senya, who once held a seat in the NDC, has now taken office and called on leaders and representatives of the NDC to join the NDC. Unite and work hard to seize the seat.
According to him, the large-scale development projects of the NDC in Awutu Senya, including the exchange of Kasoa, the construction of two high schools, the polyclinic hospital, 20 boreholes, the construction of 30 km of roads could have helped the party to win the seat, but he lost the seat.
