The application is called FaceIt-3GS and is now available on the Cydia online store, which allows iPhone 3GS owners to activate FaceTime in the configuration menu of their phone … as long as they are on iOS 4.1.
How does FaceIt-3GS work without a front camera? Simple: it uses the rear camera. Having to turn your phone to see your face will of course defeat the purpose of FaceTime, so you will need an accessory like iSeeU to use FaceTime as intended.
