The Minister of the Interior, acting on the advice of the Northern Region Security Council and its executive instrument, has extended the curfew hours imposed on three communities in the northern regions and the United States. # 39; Oti.

According to a statement signed by Ambrose Dery, minister of the sector, with a copy to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, the curfew hours imposed on the townships of Alavanyo and Nkonya, in the region of Oti, were renewed from 4 pm on Sunday 16 June this year.

In the opinion of the North Region Security Council, the curfew imposed on Kpatinga Township and surrounding areas has been renewed from 2 pm to 4 am on Friday, 14 June this year.

The statement said by executive instrument and Northern Regional Security Council's notice, curfew hours for Bimbilla Towship and its environs in the northern region from 22:00 to 04:00, as of Friday, June 14 of this year.

The statement urged leaders, opinion leaders, youth and residents of the three regions to show restraint in facing the challenges they face and to use non-violent means to channel their energies to ensure peace in the region.

He said that there was a total ban on all people in the Alavanyo and Nkonya; Kpatinga and its surroundings; and the township of Bimbilla and its environs to carry weapons, ammunition or any offensive weapon.

He warned that anyone found with weapons or ammunition in the three areas would be arrested and prosecuted.
