It's been more than five years since the world saw the arrival of GOT7 with their first single "Girls Girls Girls". Since then, they have released more than a dozen singles in Korean and Japanese, as well as a handful of unique versions in other languages, including Chinese, English, and Spanish. Since then, they have become one of the most popular K-pop boys' bands in the industry and have regularly sent albums to the top of the World Albums charts.
The seven members of the law, from around the world, are a global group. Over the years, many of its members have carved out a place in the entertainment industry in Asia through solo activities.

Before their show in New York, the septet talked with Display panel about their recently published Spinning Top: Between security and insecurity album, their caregiver and future, their creative identity and more.
How are you, guys?
Mark: We are happy to be here. We are delighted to be back. Excited for the tour too. We look forward to showing our fans a new set of stages and a whole new concert. We worked very hard to prepare this tour. During our last tour, we had very good feedback from the fans. Everyone worked very hard for this tour.
I was watching the list of sets of previous concerts of this tour and, as in the previous series of concerts, you all have performances in groups or solo. How do you decide which will happen alone compared to the units that will work together?
Jackson: Everything we feel.

Yugyeom: We want to make it fresh, and this coolness is really important.

You have released Spinning Top: Between security and insecurity in May. What inspired it?
Jackson: The title "Eclipse" is produced by JB.[[[[At JB]Explain the.
JB: It's a very good song. It's a song about us, our situation, and it has undergone a lot of different corrections.
How is "Eclipse" on you?
Jackson: The song itself talks about security and insecurity, security and insecurity. So, in our situation, for example, we get results in terms of results. We play, we tour around the world, the arenas get bigger and bigger, the members get bigger and bigger, the fandom gets bigger and bigger. Everything is on good terms. But at the same time, as we get up, we realize that we think about ourselves thinking, "Oh, will that end one day? Will it last forever? Will fans be with us in 10 years? These are the insecurities we feel.
JB: It's a song that really raises questions. It's like a question, "Can we really do it?"
Mark: It's like we're really grateful to the fans and we're glad you're here. But on the other hand, are we good enough for you? Are we good enough to stay here with us?
Jinyoung: Can we keep turning?
When do you feel the least safe about it?
Jackson: When we're fine. This tour compared to the last tour is much larger. We think everything is fine, but what is the next step? Are we going to get up? Are we good enough for fans to stay by our side? Problems like that.
Why titrate the song "Eclipse"?
JB: Insecurity does not appear all of a sudden. It comes and fills, and it's very progressive. It looks like an eclipse, like the sun covering the moon.
Mark: When the weather is nice, you feel happy. And when it's dark, you're really sad.
Jackson: Depression.
Mark: So we used that as a metaphor.
Is it a feeling that you all feel? Do some members feel it more than others?
Bambam: I think everyone knows what it's like.
Yugyeom: We all have the same thought.
Bambam: Yes, we all feel the same. But there may be a different timing. As this time, Youngjae could have more trouble than [the rest of] us or something. Everyone is different. We all have the same feeling.
Jinyoung: Actually, I do not feel it. I understand the concept, but I am always calm. My father said, "A good thing is not a good thing. A bad thing is not a bad thing. It's like a wave. "

Jinyoung: This is my personal opinion. I have achieved something recently. We always want to be a great artist. We became more and more. We always want to do more. But sometimes we do not think about it and do not give up. then [at that time]we had huge results. I think.

On a personal level, how do members feel unsafe?
Youngjae: I have nothing for which I do not feel safe. Today, I'm fine because I let everything go. I am relaxing. I am relaxing. I do not really want to be too stressed to do things right, to wonder if I did it right or not. Before, I was really stressed, but if I keep thinking about it and become too stressed, I get to a point where I can not cope anymore. So now, I just changed mentality and try to let things go.

Yugyeom: I have a personality that does not really worry me, but since I want to be in GOT7 for a long time, I wonder how long I can do that.
Bambam: Sometimes I care about [how far] I can have some, blah blah blah. But these days, [I] let it go and enjoy it. Like when I'm doing a song. "OK, I have to make a good song." But sometimes the best music can not come out. But if you enjoy and have fun, the music will be better. I enjoy my life every day.
Youngjae: Me too, I enjoy it.
You are in your fifth year now. How did your composition process and creative experience change during this period?
Yugyeom: It really changed a lot. When we started five years ago, we wanted to make music, but we were not ready for it. Over time, we became more active. This experience really changed us and helped us to create songs as artists.
Mark: I think when we all train, I do not know if that's the right word, but I feel like we're all robots. They said, "Do it" and we would do it. We did not have a lot of information. We did not know much about music. Just practice and train. After our debut, it was pretty much the same thing. They just gave us a song, we learned dance, we recorded, and stuff like that. But over time, we started writing lyrics, producing songs. Yugyeom started to help with the choreography. I think we are now more artists than at the time.
To come back to that, you used the word "robots" to describe your beginnings …
Mark: I do not know what to say anymore. Is "robot" OK?
Yugyeom: Maybe more like "pbadive"?

Jackson: We have just been told. We did what we were asked to do.
Mark: I'm not saying we were robots.
Jackson: There is a stereotype about the manufacturing of the Korean entertainment industry, which I have already said is not true.

I heard that JB had stated that "Eclipse" was a little different from its original intent because of the way your JYP Entertainment management felt it should be. Obviously, a management company plays a role in your decision-making and creative process, but how do you manage your expectations of your artistic talent relative to those of the company and those of your company? fans?
Bambam: It's like JB against JYP.
JB: I generally share the opinion of the company because I am an artist under JYP. [Entertainment]So I have to create music that meets the standards of society.
