Developed in partnership with HARMAN and Samsung Electronics, Zoe will be able to interact with the TVs installed in the cabins to offer additional guidance to pbadengers.
Zoe uses the Advanced Speech Recognition feature so all guests in the booth can access information using only voice commands. Pbadengers will also be able to connect phones directly to the device via Bluetooth to enjoy music, podcasts and more directly in their booth.
However, this is not the first time that a robot is used to help a cruise ship: on the Costa Cruises fleet, you'll find Pepper, a life-size personal robot capable of reading and understanding the feelings via a 3D camera. .
MSC Cruises insists that while Zoe is a virtual personal cruise badistant 24/7, it is not designed to replace human interactions between the crew and the customer, but rather to offer customers the opportunity to communicate and discover new information in comfort of their cabins.
