April 23, 2019 –
Apple could finally meet a long-awaited feature request for iOS users. At least photo applications with the upcoming version should be able to upload images directly from an external storage medium.
With iOS 13, something could soon become possible for users. Until now, it was not possible on the iPhone and iPad to access data stored on an external storage medium. But at least with pictures, it should be possible soon, according to a report from "9to5Mac". This would, for example, import images directly from the camera into Lightroom CC without having to go through the System Photo application. Apple had previously released a Siri link to automate this process, but the new feature should make it useless on the USB-C Pro iPad.
Apple has also planned to make improvements to applications of marzipan, Siri and ARKit – Augmented Reality Development Kit from Apple. All of these new features are expected to be unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference in June, during which the company is expected to release iOS 13, MacOS 10.15, and WatchOS 6.
