According to an article on Network World, Apple has sent Newsday a letter of termination and disclaimer about the popular and viral advertising of its application for iPad. wrote about last week.

The ad showed that the iPad could not replace a newspaper by using it as a fly swatter. If you use the iPad to crush the flies according to the advertising, the iPad screen will break. Apple would not have been pleased with this announcement.

Network World has received the email below, but could not confirm its authenticity:

"Newsday received a letter of termination and disclaimer threatening all our applications, if we did not remove the advertisement immediately. They lamented the fact that the glbad (from the iPad) breaks in chunky chunks … Your instinct is correct. "

The e-mail above leaves me a little disturbed because we all know how much Apple controls the iTunes App Store content. However, I doubt very much that Apple is using these tactics just to get an advertisement.

Something is wrong and I contacted Apple for a comment. I will post their response or refuse to answer here later.

In the meantime, you can try to take a look at this ad, while you still can, via YouTube. The original video that I linked to last week was taken from YouTube.
