Urban gospel artist, Kobby Salm, has recounted a disappointing moment in his career since he decided to pursue contemporary gospel.

The rapper in conversation with Franky 5 on "This is Gospel" on Hitz FM was revealed, he was prevented from performing in a school when the owner discovered that he was working through evangelical rap.

"Last two years [when] we were going on tour, we went to a particular school and I do not want to mention the name. The owner was so excited that we came but I think she did not know the kind of kind we were doing.

"Later, my management told him that I was a rapper and that it looked like" rap "No, it's devil and I do not want to pbad this on to my kids for that we can not afford you, "he said.

Kobby Salm said the rejection he suffered was disheartening, but he decided to never throw in the towel.

The rapper is currently promoting a joint EP with his gospel compatriot, Kingzkid, titled "Uncommon".

Kobby Salm and Kingzkid have three songs on the disc, including "Overdose," "Insurance," and "Sing Your Praise."

"Uncommon" was released on March 20th and is available on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and other music platforms.

Prior to this EP, Kobby Salm had already released songs such as "Personal Love", "Hosanna", "Wish I Can Sing" and other melodies.
