Bisa Kdei
Highlife singer and songwriter Bisa Kdei expressed deep dissatisfaction with the way Ghanaians have downplayed their indigenous music. Highlife aspired to another kind of music of foreign nature.
For him, although Highlife will never die, said the attitude of Ghanaians to gender had made it difficult for those in the industry.
The highlife music of recent years in Ghana has gradually diminished in view of its audience and the way it was appreciated from the 18th century to the beginning of the 21st century.
Many critics say the media did not help Highlife music today, while others believe that 21st century Highlife artists have not been able to produce the kind of music Ghanaians want.
Bisa Kdei told Sika FM in Kumasi in an interview broadcast on MyNewsGh.com: "That's right, Highlife is hard. It's like I'm talking to you. It's about telling a story, so it's even hard for people to listen to everything you say in one piece. It sometimes seems like it forces people to listen to my story. Meanwhile, people are busy doing their own things, so it's hard to get people to listen to Highlife. But when you are accepted, it's the best thing. " He told Buju Banton the host of the show "Flavor Zone".
But the Brother Brother cartridge manufacturer, on the other hand, advised that "whatever you do, you have to do it well so that people can enjoy it and that will take you to places."
