Former National Health Insurance Organization [NHIA] Managing Director Sylvester Mensah said the plan absolutely did not allow the system to invest its funds.

However, it considers that it is useful to exercise due diligence before making a decision in this regard.

"The system is not wrong to invest in a bank or a financial institution. It's legitimate and in law,he noted.

His comment follows the statements of the opposition, the National Democratic Congress [NDC] that the nuclear power plant has invested more than 17 million GHc of funds belonging to the NHIA, the national authority for health insurance, with All Time Capital Limited, a private investment company.

Sylvester Mensah in an interview with NEAT FM morning show "Ghana Montie" explained in detail what could lead to a "bad" plan investment.
