Welcome to the discussion thread. Veterans of the thread know how we do things here, but for all newbies we have a few rules. Our Community rules apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and swear too much.
Spurs have lost 5 of their last 7 games and, despite some encouraging wins against contending teams, they haven’t been able to show consistent efforts at home. More recently, the Silver and Black were able to take Thursday’s game in two overtime, but struggled to stop the Atlanta snipers’ clutch shot, and Danilo Gallinari sank the winning shot in the second overtime which put the game out of reach. Tonight they face the Pacers, who they were due to play earlier in the year, but the contest was called off due to Covid-19, and that really dampened the team’s momentum which has been inconsistent since. a few weeks. It’s a chance for Spurs to turn things around with Derrick White finding the reach and possible return of Lonnie Walker IV. Gorgui Dieng is still absent with a sprained shoulder, so Jakob Poeltl’s reinforcement will be Drew Eubanks, who always brings a lot of effort.
The big problem is inconsistency and sometimes a lack of intensity. It’s not the usual propensity for the Alamo City side not to play tough, but tonight they have to play bold. They need to be insightful and start doing creative basketry.
