Reverend Father David Ocran, pastor of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cape Coast, on Sunday advised Christians to pay close attention to the gospel and not to things that can draw them into sin.

“It is unfortunate that we remember the gossip but not the word of God. Let a friend at work or at church tell us, you see this lady, she never iron her clothes, we’ll keep that in mind and watch her closely whenever we meet her. But it’s just too bad that we can’t remember God’s commandments in this way, ”he said.

Reverend Father Ocran said this Sunday during the homily at a Church Mass celebration.

He said Christians could pay attention to the things that would bring no improvement in their relationship with God, instead of allocating quality time for the word and works of God.

Rev. Ocran said Christians often engaged in activities that made them deaf to God’s words and unable to do His will, such as love of money, physical pleasure, and statutes.

He advised the audience to mend their ways and give a special place in their hearts to the word of God as he prayed for God’s blessings on the land.

Rev. Ocran said Christians need to bring their families, neighbors and friends together and help fill the hearts of those in need with joy by supporting them emotionally and financially.

“Don’t let the challenges of the world take you away from God. You have to be steadfast to see his glory, ”he said.

The congregation prayed that God’s rain on their work would produce good fruit, peace on families and the nation, healing of the sick, and support of the needy.
