Ivan Perisic's Arsenal News: Inter Milan has not received an appropriate offer

Inter Milan has revealed that it has not received an "adapted offer" for Ivan Perisic, Arsenal's target.

The Gunners are very keen on the Croatian winger to improve their options before closing the January transfer slot. It is thought that he has submitted a transfer request.

As a result, he was ruled out of the Inter team for the 1-0 defeat to Torino on Sunday.

Director Piero Ausilio insisted that Serie A players would not be satisfied with the offers received for the 29-year-old.

"Perisic wants to go abroad, but there are no suitable offers," Ausilio said.

"If he stays, I expect him the same professionalism as usual. We intend to get it back on track and that should not be a problem. I do not think it will take very long.

"I can say that the inter transfer market is closed. We had some fitness problems with Sime Vrsaljko and we did well to immediately fill the gap with Cedric Soares [from Southampton].

Manager Unai Emery wants to improve his options before the end of the window.

"Inter has had a tough run in recent years, having changed ownership three times, but we now have a strong and ambitious owner who, with time and patience, can achieve great things."

Meanwhile, Arsenal hopes to get a loan agreement to bring the Swede Denis Suarez before the transfer deadline.

"We need wings," said Unai manager Emery. "I know Denis because he played with me in Seville. It will be a challenge for him.
