Ghanaian musician and television presenter Deborah Owusu Bonsu, better known as Sister Derby, finally revealed in an interview how her relationship with rapper Medikal ended.
According to Sister Derby, also known as "The African Mermaid", she broke with Medikal after hearing rumors that he was cheating on her.

"There were rumors of cheating and when I found out that I had just left. I know people think the opposite but I left.
I do not see why I should fight for someone who proves otherwise, it is useless. I saw the break happen so I left "she revealed.

Sister Derby also claimed to have written his hit song 'Kakalika Love' in 2018 before breaking with Medikal.
According to her, the song was not a song "diss" as the Ghanaians believed, but a way to tell her fans that she was no longer in a relationship with Medikal.
"People badume and say it's a diss song, but as an artist, at the beginning of our relationship, I let my fans and the world know that I was going out with that person.
As the breakout has occurred, it is also a way to tell my fans that it is the story. I can not be a coward or a hypocrite and stay silent about it. It's a way of telling my story, and there was no insult ", Sister Derby added.
