The Ivorian authorities are destroying 18,000 tons of rice declared unfit for human consumption.

The BBC reports that shipments of rice from Myanmar (also known as Burma) have been denied entry into several ports in West Africa in recent weeks, including Lome, Conakry and Accra.

The goods were finally unloaded in Abidjan, then tests were carried out, which showed that there was a problem with the rice.

He is now brought to a landfill site.
