IZ * ONE will appear this week in the popular Japanese music show "Music Station"!
On February 9th, IZ * ONE's Off The Record Entertainment agency announced that the project group "Produce 48" would perform during the episode of "Music Station" of TV Asahi on February 15th.
A representative of the agency commented, "As the most popular musical show in Japan," Music Station "is a program that features Japan's most iconic singers, as well as famous foreign pop stars. [The appearance] serves to confirm the status of IZ * ONE [in Japan]. "
After making its debut in Korea last October, IZ * ONE recently broke record records in Japan. The first Japanese single from the women's group, "Suki to Iwasetai", beat the Japanese boys' group Kis-My-Ft2 to the top of Oricon's daily singles standings as soon as it was released on February 6th.
IZ * ONE not only managed to break the sales record of a single released by a group of K-pop girls in Japan (previously owned by TWICE's "Wake Me Up"), but also the second-largest daily sales of Japan's very first women's group, unlike the famous Japanese girls group HKT48, which debuted in 2011.
IZ * ONE also dominated several other charts in Japan with "Suki to Iwasetai", including the Japanese streaming service of Top Music. The single also reached the 1st place of the J-pop iTunes charts in five different countries.
